Businesses and homes in Chipping Norton are set to benefit from the rollout of super-fast broadband.
As part of BT's £2.5 million investment in the technology, some 3,300 premises are going to be able to access high internet speeds, while Chipping Norton becomes the 19th Oxfordshire exchange to be upgraded.
It means more than 2.5 million south-east properties can now take advantage of a better broadband signal thanks to the telecoms company's project.
David Cameron, UK prime minister and the MP for Witney - where Chipping Norton is located - said the move represents a "major step forward" for the area.
"The internet has become an integral part of daily life for many of my constituents and it is great that local people now have the option of connecting," he added.
Small towns and villages typically struggle to get good broadband access. However, if you are struggling with a poor connection, then why not consider the benefits of satellite broadband?
