Microsoft has unveiled details of its new games console - the Xbox One.
It has been described as the "ultimate all-in-one home entertainment system" and will combine gaming, television, music, films and online activity. The console is due for release later this year.
"Xbox One is designed to deliver a whole new generation of blockbuster games, television and entertainment in a powerful, all-in-one device," said Don Mattrick, president of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.
He claimed the console will bring "simplicity to the living room" and allow users to instantly switch between their games and other entertainment media.
Online connectivity will play an important part in the Xbox One. A broadband connection is required for certain features and a fast and reliable service is crucial for making the most of online gaming.
If you're concerned that your internet connection may not be sufficient for gaming on the new Xbox, switching to satellite broadband could be worthwhile.
